The dial is black with white painted radial Arabic numerals, luminous square indexes, an outer minute track, and luminous white Tritium-coated baton hands. There is a subsidiary dial for the small seconds at the 4 o'clock position, a dial for the days of the month at 7 o'clock, a graduated sector for the up-and-down power reserve indication and the moon phases between 10 and 11. The watch has a 48-hour power reserve at full wind. The 9.5mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Patek Philippe Power Reserve Moon Phase 5085/1A-001 has a mechanical automatic self-winding Patek Philippe caliber 240/164 movement that's rhodium plated, with fausses cotes embellishment, and it's stamped with the Seal of Geneva quality mark. It's constructed with 29 jewels, a shock absorber mechanism, a straight-line lever escapement, and a free-sprung Gyromax balance. There is a self-compensating flat balance spring, and a 22K gold micro-rotor mounted on ball bearings. Patek Philippe first released the 240 caliber movement in 1977 as a thin base movement for its perpetual calendars allowing for some of the thinnest complication watches.
