Information
This is a stainless steel Patek Philippe Nautilus Travel Time 5990/1A-001. It has an integral stainless steel bracelet and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. The 40.5mm diameter solid three-body case, flat bezel, and integral lugs are polished/brushed. It has a transparent exhibition screwed down sapphire crystal case back. The dial is horizontally striped, grey Anthracite with luminous baton indexes and outer minute and seconds markers. The twin aperture windows at 3 and 9 o'clock indicate day and night in home and local time, while a date indicator is positioned at 12 o'clock and 60-minute chronograph totalizer is at 6 o'clock. In this case is 55-hour power reserve. The 11mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Patek Philippe Nautilus Travel Time 5990/1A-001 has a mechanical self-winding Patek Philippe Caliber CH 28-520 C FUS movement that's rhodium-plated with fausses cotes embellishment. It has 34 jewels, a self-compensating flat balance spring, and the patented Patek Gyromax balance that's adjusted to cold, heat, and isochronism and 5 positions. It includes a 21K gold rotor and it's stamped with the Patek Philippe seal. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4Hz). The Nautilus sports design was first introduced in 1976 with the ref. 3700/1; it was radical for Patek Philippe, and unlike any watch in the world, causing a veritable style revolution amongst contemporary watches. The design is based on the universal shape of the porthole of a maritime vessel.
